1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Visitus website at https://www.visitus.pt. The site is operated by Best Assistance Group LTD, company number 16870734 (England and Wales), registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom.

By accessing or using Visitus you agree to be bound by these Terms, by our Privacy Policy and by our Cookie Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the site.

2. Permitted use of the site

You may use Visitus for lawful personal travel research and planning. You may share article links, quote short passages with attribution, and reference the site in your own work in good faith.

You may not: scrape the site at scale, attempt to bypass our security or rate limiting, frame the site within your own without permission, republish whole articles without explicit written consent, or use the content to train commercial machine-learning models without a separate licence agreement.

3. Intellectual property

All editorial content on Visitus, including text, photography, illustrations, layouts and source code, is the property of Best Assistance Group LTD or licensed to it, unless otherwise indicated. The Visitus name and logo are trademarks of Best Assistance Group LTD.

Short quotations for journalistic, educational or critical purposes are permitted under the fair-use exceptions of UK copyright law and equivalent EU member-state exceptions, provided that Visitus is clearly named as the source and a link to the original article is included. For longer quotation, syndication or commercial reuse, please contact us at contact@visitus.pt.

Third-party photographs displayed on the site are credited on the Photo Credits page and remain the property of their respective rights holders.

4. User-generated content

Visitus does not currently accept user-generated content. There are no public comments, no forums, no user reviews. Messages submitted through the contact form are private correspondence and are not published.

If a future feature accepts user-generated content, these Terms will be updated to define ownership, moderation rules, and removal procedures before the feature ships.

6. Affiliate and sponsored content

Visitus aims for editorial independence. Where the site contains affiliate links (links that may earn us a commission if you make a purchase after clicking) or sponsored content, this is disclosed clearly and proximately to the link or section.

Affiliate revenue, where it occurs, never determines whether a destination, restaurant, hotel or service is mentioned. Editorial recommendations are based on personal experience and reader usefulness, in line with our Editorial Policy.

7. Limitation of liability

The content of Visitus is published in good faith and reviewed for accuracy at the time of writing, but travel information changes constantly. Opening hours, prices, transport timetables, currency, weather, regulations, accommodation availability and access conditions can vary without notice. We strongly recommend verifying any time-sensitive detail with the official source listed at the bottom of each pillar guide before booking or departure.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Best Assistance Group LTD excludes liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Visitus website or the information published on it. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law (including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence).

8. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Subject to the consumer-protection rights of EU and EEA visitors, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from or related to these Terms or your use of Visitus.

Where you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you retain the protections of the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence; nothing in this section deprives you of those protections.

9. Dispute resolution

If you have a complaint or dispute, please first contact us at contact@visitus.pt. We aim to acknowledge complaints within seven days and resolve them within thirty days where possible.

EU consumers have the right to use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr for disputes arising from online services.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or the services we use. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page shows when the most recent change took effect. Material changes will be announced on the home page for at least thirty days before they take effect.
